Finally in Tenerife! 💕

We were actually supposed to go to Tenerife during my maternity leave with Nolan, but the Corona arrived and our trip got cancelled. Last autumn I chose to go to Dubai instead of Tenerife, since the weather was warmer in Dubai in November. This year I planned the trip a bit earlier so, we went during first week of November and got the last week of nice hot weather. First 2 days were a bit colder summer weather, around 24, but the rest was around 27 and the sea water was still nice and warm.

FLIGHT
It was the last flight for Logan as under 2 years, so he was sitting on Kevin´s lap. Nolan had the stokke travel luggage that can be made as bed and that was nice for him. We had quite early flight so both kid had a nap at the plane. We booked our trip via Appollo Rejser, so had the hotel recommended for families with kids and had also pick up and drop off service, so everything was very convenient in both ways.

HOTEL
The hotel was called Green Garden Eco Resort and it was about 30 minute walking distance from the beach. There was also chattle bus from the hotel to the beach and back. We used that one day.

You can see the play corner in the hotel room

As mentioned, it was Appollo hotel for families with kids. This meant that teh also offered a twice a day kids club with scandinavian speaking peronal. I only pai like 50 euros for one week. We did not use it every day, but it was such a nice way for Nolan to spend time and do different activities, when Logan was napping. I could go swimming or exercise at the samee time. I remembered from previous trips, that he does not like to spend the whole day at the pool so it was nice alternative.

Foam party was pretty cool 😎

Hotel also offered different activities for kids but it was together with parents. In addition they had group trainings couple of times a day, so I could keep up my ususal training schedule.

The hotel was also super green with lot of palm trees. There was also cute playground with a trea house for a kid and in the evening there was kids dancing there. The hotel had 2 pools - one with heating and one without and then one separate kids pool with a heating. Most people were swimming in the heated swimming pool.😁 On some warm days I also went to the cold water pool. It was ok for swimming but too cold to just chill.

Playground 🤗

We had only bought the breakfast, but it was possible to have all inclusive too. The room was absolutely best for a family with small kids. There was even a play corner with toys in the room. There were 2 rooms so kids could sleep on their own room. I also enjoyed the outside big terrarce, especially in the evening when kids had gone to sleep. So it was quite specious for kids to run around. There was also small kitchen. We bought some food to also cook ourselves, but the oven was not the best. But kids were still happy to get their fries and chicken nuggets.

Terrace 🙌

Most of the time we spent in the hotel, but it also felt so convenient that we did not want to leave.😁 Our room was close to the pool and playground, so it was easy to get kids to water and did not have to carry all the staff with us.

Plenty of palm trees 🌴

FOOD
The breakfast was fine and there was quite big variety. The hotel also had theme dinners for every evening and we just ate the Italian theme dinner there. One evening we went to the big mall and bought the food for the week. The cost of food was very cheap. We planned to cook one meal ourselves at the hotel and then eat dinner in a restaurant. In order to get home from that shopping mall I ordered black uber since nothing else was available. When waiting the uber I saw that the local taxi spot is just 10 meters from us. Luckily the price was not that bad compared to Denmark and kids got the kids seats in the taxi abd the driver wear black suit, so it was quit einteresting experience.

Logan definitely enjoyed the pool time

And surprise-surprise we found again one super good Asian restaurant. We ate there mainly Chinese food. Somehow I really enjoy eating good Chinese food when on vacation. I guess it is because I am tired of the European food. And of course, I drank a lot of Sangria. I had been graving for Sangria since August and did not really find any place in Copenhagen where I could drink it.

…and so did Nolan

BEACH DAY
The hotel had a shuttle busses to the beach that left in the morning and took back on the afternoon. It was quite warm day but the water was perfect. We also ate lunch at the beach and had some coctails that only cost 5 euros. One beach was more clear than other but otherwise it was fine. Not that big waves either.

Loro Park
One day we also took the trip to the Loro Park. We booked the day trip and the bus picked us up. It was quite convenient but I think the hotel pick ups were not the best planned so 4 people stayed in some quite random place and it took like 30 min to pick them up so 1 hour lost in a trip. Plus the driver forgot to drop us off in a right time on a way back so another 30 minutes were lost. I was actually quite mad, but luckily the kids were fine and did not complain about long bus ride.

We all enjoyed the Loro Park. Especially different kind of shows. There were quite many people so it was good to go to the show at least 15 minutes earlier. The best one was the oceana show, since they were so big. Dolphines show was also pretty facinating and parrot show was also enganging. We ate lunch there. The food was fine but there was a bit of a queue. There was also a playground were Nolan liked to play. Logan wanted to also play there but he was quite small.

The annoying thing was that they did not sell any bottled drinks, only in a can. I guess it was part of their sustainability initiatives. This made it hard to buy any drinks for a bus trip back. Overall it took all day in the park and it would be good to plan beforehand about what time to go watch what show in case you want to see all of them.

I also wanted to go see the vulcano, but I read that it is not recommended for small kids. I guess we could have rented a car and go check it up, but will save it for next time. The nature in Tenerife seemed beautiful so it is definitely more to do there than just sit by the pool or beach.

We also skipped the Siam Park, that is said to be one of the best waterparks in the world. Our hotel actually was close by. If Logan would have been a bit bigger, then maybe would have been worth the trip, so this will also wait for the next time. :)

Ciao 🫶
